Hi, I'm Darren. Struggling to sleep at night, I opted to listen to the Harry Potter audiobooks to help me drift off. It didn't work, but what it did do is make me wonder: "Could I do that? Could I create a world that can touch people as deeply as J.K Rowling has? Or George R.R Martin. Or Roald Dahl. Or Enid Blyton... or indeed any of the great writers of the world?

So I decided to have a go. But what about? What do I really have passion enough for to want to write about? Well... that's easy... I love foxes. So let's start there.

And so Russet was born in 2021, and his life is still being drawn out now 4 years later. The problem is, I'm a perfectionist. If it's not perfect, it gets thrown away, or rewritten until it is.

Animals and I have a special connection. I love them and (touch wood) so far they all seem to love me. Except for spiders... spiders can stay far away in their dusty garage corners. But the rest of them, I want to tell their stories, and show people just how amazing, deep, emotional and raw their lives can be.

I believe my stories can touch so many hearts, and have a good shot at becoming a new big part of lives all around the world. So I want to do it right. I will do it right, and I will present to you the very best I can offer.
