This the story of a puppy, born into the perfect home, who soon finds out that, when you least expect it, life can turn very cruel. Safety is never guaranteed.

Russet, an adventurous, mischevous and rather scruffy young Bushtail, lives with his mother, father, brothers and sisters under a large reclining tree. All here live in peace, the only concern on the minds of all being the yearly coming of the cold season. But the Treelands holds a secret. A secret which casts its blinding gaze from the Flatland border, and which lies in wait for any who dare get too close.
