Russet is a captivating story brimming with the full spectrum of human emotion. From heartbreak and joy to laughter and the complexities of siblinghood and parenting, it beautifully portrays the strength and bravery life demands to persevere through sorrow and uncertainty. My favorite thing about Darrens writing is that he beautifully paints pictures with living metaphors that make the simplest of phrases all the more captivating. This book is so relatable and in touch with basic human emotions, you'll feel completely enveloped in the characters' lives as if they are your own. Russet is a read nearly that nearly anyone could cherish.

Although this book is in its early stages, I have read up to chapter 9 so far and I'm absolutely hooked!
Darren is a wonderfully gifted writers with a rare, innate talen for magnificent storytelling. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how the rest of this story unfolds.
